Dec 22, 2018· With an angle grinder fitted with a 4.5″ or 5″ diamond blade with a cutting shroud I can cut up to 7/8″ and no more. The benefit of doing it that way is I can use cordless grinders (less weight and no cords for overhead cutting), and it's for the most part a one handed operation with my other hand free to hold the vac hose or whatever.
